Spain still have a Chance
As the penultimate World cup qualifiers came to an end, Spain are still in contention of qualifying for the World cup as group winners, although it is out of their hands.
Belgium dominated the first half, being the home team chasing the prospect of overcoming the odds and scraping into the world cup you would expect no less.
However they become tired, and when Luis Aragones made his "genius" double substitution the game turned around.
David Villa and José Antonio Reyes came on for ineffective wingers Joaquin and Vicente, and within minutes Reyes setup wonderkid Fernando Torres for the first goal for spain. In no time at all it was 2-0; Again Reyes the provider for the now on fire Fernando Torres.
The 2 goals settled Spain, and deserved all 3 points. Wednesday is coming and see's the National team go to San Marino, still in need of a win to ensure at least a playoff place for next summer's world cup.
