Real Win 4-1 but Betis get a hammering off Chelsea

Despite being 1-0 down at half time, Real Madrid came back to win their game against Rosenborg 4-1. Johnathan Woodgate scored Real's first, this time in the oppositions net!!! The on fire Raúl made it 2 within a few minutes. David "Ping" Beckham had yet another great game, and it was his freekick which was met by the head of Helguera to make it 3-1. Señor Beckham managed to get himself on the scoresheet, with a trademark superb freekick.

Real Betis lost away to Chelsea 4-0. Creating very few chances, their Goalkeaper also dropped a Frank Lampard freekick for Carvalho to score after Drogba's initial goal. The other goals came from Joe Cole, and Hernan Crespo.

Espanyol also got their UEFA Cup campaign off to a winning start, a Raúl Tamudo goal was good enough for a 1-0 win away to Lokomotiv Moscow.

Alaves are out of the Copa Del Rey, losing 1-0 away to Eibar.
