Spain 5 - 1 Slovakia

WOW! What a weekend. Luis Garcia started the game against Slovakia and he didnt score 1 goal, he didnt even score 2 goals...He scored a hattrick, yes 3 goals!!! It was a good professional performance from Spain, a mistake by Luis Garcia of all people let in Nemeth to make the scoreline a dodgy looking 2-1, but Spain then turned on the style, Fernando Torres scoring a penalty after Slovak defender Had got himself sent off for a hand ball in the area.

My probable starting 11 was correct with the exception of Luis Garcia starting instead of Xabi Alonso.

Fernando Morientes also came on to score Spain's final goal of the game, all eyes are on Wednesday night where Spain travel to Slovakia, and barring a miricle, look set to be in the finals in Germany in 2006.
